Rana Daggubati is going great guns with his next films after super successful Baahubali franchise. As Bhallaladeva, he became the most popular villain in Indian Cinema of recent past. Carrying forward the fame he earned after a long hardwork, he acted as an navy officer in Ghazi and impressed Telugu and Hindi audience to a certain extent as the movie ended up as an average at box office. But the movie had been appreciated all over by the critics.
After the movie, he got busy in making his next Telugu movie in the direction of Teja, Nene Raju Nene Mantri. With the movie nearing completion, the actor is prepping to be a part of his next bilingual titled, Aasphota. The movie is based on former Prime Minister, Rajeev Gandhi’s assassination and drama behind the investigation. A.M. Rajesh is directing the movie.
For this movie, he met Former CBI Chief who was part of the investigation and wanted to get all the details down to the tee. D.R. Karthikeyan, who headed the investigation back in the day, met the actor along with director and his uncle, Venkatesh to know the details and ready himself with the character. Karthikeyan was pleased by his attitude and thought he can perfectly play him on screen. So he gave him a book he wrote on the incident, Rajeev Gandhi Assassination: The investigation and asked him to meet him further if he needed any help. The actor is happy with the warmth he received and is planning to start the movie as soon as possible.
