Rana and Kajal to pair up in the yet-to-release film

Rana Daggubati worked for an year to complete the shoot of Haathi Mere Saathi, in the direction of Prabhu Solomon. As he stayed in forests for longer period of time, he reduced lot of weight which gave to speculations about his health. After completing the shoot for the film, he started acting in Virataparvam. The movie will resume shoot in September post all his wedding with Miheeka, related rituals are completed to get the movie ready for release in the first half of 2021 or late 2020, whenever theatres can re-open with above 50% occupancy allowed.

The film Haathi Mere Saathi was supposed to release last year but it got delayed due to VFX work and it might release next year in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. Post production works for the film are going on. In a small cameo, Kajal Aggarwal as a pair opposite Rana will be seen in the film, as per the reports. She shot for her cameo before lockdown was imposed. For few more scenes with Rana, the actress will shoot in October or November, suggest reports. She will also resume work for Indian-2 film with Kamal Hassan, which was halted after a vicious accident on sets at Chennai EVR studios, earlier this year.
