Allari Naresh is popular for comedy films. After trying different stories for a few years, he returns to his comedy genre with Ramba Oorvasi Menaka. Directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada, the film stars Surbhi as the heroine, with Vishnu Priya, Raashi Singh, and Prisha Singh in key roles. The film released in theatres on Friday. Did Allari Naresh score a hit with this comedy film?

Ramba Oorvasi Menaka Story: Suri dreams of becoming a film hero and lives with many debts. He believes a magic book can bring the celestial beauties Ramba, Oorvasi, and Menaka to Earth. When the book finally opens, they arrive, but they have lost their divine powers. Meanwhile, Suri needs Rs. 60 lakh for his mother’s operation and must clear his debts to marry Chinni. With his problems increasing, Suri gets help from his uncle CEO Ramana and friend Parimala. How he solves his problems and saves his mother forms the rest of the story.

Performances: Allari Naresh carries the film with his energetic performance. Naresh and Vennela Kishore provide the best comedy. The female leads add glamour, while Tarak Ponnappa’s villain role fails to impress.

Technical Aspects: Director Chandramohan Chintada mixes a youth message with comedy. The film includes spoofs of hit movies and punches on star directors. Chaitan Bharadwaj’s music is pleasant, with good folk and mass songs. The production values are decent, while the cinematography beautifully highlights the village locations.

Analysis: Director Chandramohan mixes a youth message, mother sentiment, comedy, and fantasy. The film entertains with spoofs, parody songs, and funny scenes featuring Allari Naresh. However, the first half lacks a strong story, the love track feels dull, and repeated scenes can be boring. The comedy manages to cover most of these weaknesses.

Verdict: Entertaining comedy and fantasy elements work, but the weak story and repetitive scenes limit the overall impact.

Bottom Line: Fun with some noticeable flaws.

Rating: 2/5
