Ram Gopal Verma is one director who has always surprised audience with his audacity in selecting different subjects and ability in casting big stars for his films, how many ever flops he might have made. All this was possible only to him due to his Shiva, Company, Satya, Sarkar. These films have given RGV a license to experiment and bring something new to the Indian screen however bad they might turned to be, Ramu still can find audience and producers for his films.
Today, 7th November 2016, he announced a big budget film funded by CMA Global that is looking to enter into the production in a big way. CMA Global is not just concentrating on Indian filmmaking but it is looking to expand and make movies globally. Ram Gopal Verma not known for making big budget movies announced a 340 cr budget, World War III themed fictional movie. He further announced that the movie will be about Nuclear attack of terrorists on Mumbai and how India Pakisthan fight could go global with this one historic incident and become root cause for World War III.The film will be shot in America, India, China, Russia and Yemen. The actors in the film will be Indian, Chinese, Americans and Russians. With this CMA Global is kick starting their production house and two more films of Ram Gopal Verma are also announced by the company.
The Dead are Alive, a non zombie horror thriller about dead coming to life and The Tablet about immortality. Along with this the production house is looking to collaborate with filmmakers from various Asian countries and aiming at the Global markets. The production house officially announced that 25 film projects are in various stages of pre production off at least 6 to 7 will go on floors between January to March 2017 under Ram Gopal Verma’s supervision.Hopefully, Ramu will try to deliver on the promise and concentrate on making a better film than taking about business models and profit ventures. Filmmaking is not just about venturing and funding, it is also a great art. He is the master craftsman that pioneered this ideology through young minds through out the 90s and early 2000s. So wish that great man is back to deliver solid content rather than a person who appears on TV and becomings a breaking news for the day!
