Ram Gopal Varma released a video about Sri Reddy and her use of cuss words against Pawan Kalyan. He said, “Sri Reddy got my attention when she started talking about casting couch in Telugu Cinema and the kind of words she used.I noticed her moves and thought she is reckless. But when she did the nude protest, I saw a person with raw determination to bring this issue to the public eye. I immediately wanted to appreciate her and took her number from friends. Before I could talk to her, she brought out the name of Daggubati Abhiram and I called Suresh Babu about the issue. He refused any settlement and said that he will fight it out in court. He was adamant that law of the land will take its course. I out of my love for the family wanted to settle the matter for Rs. 5 crores.
I called her and talked to her at length. She refused the offer and I was stunned. It is me who took the initiative without Suresh Babu’s knowledge hoping to convince his family members to pay her off. But her refusal stunned me and she said she is determined to take this movement forward. Then I asked her to take a top star name and call him, like how Arjun Reddy did in the film. I thought to drag a big name like Daggubati Ramanaidu and his family, to court would be a grave loss for Industry. When she refused and wanted to take the moment, I thought this would be the right type of guidance to call a big star such a word and thought Sri Reddy and Pawan Kalyan will not take it to heart.”
He apologized for taking the matters into murky waters and said that his intentions were to help her but that resulted in a great unrest. He said that he wants to apologize to the family of Pawan Kalyan, the actor himself and his fans for causing the grievance. Sri Reddy earlier made comments about trusting Pawan Kalyan and abused him. After the backlash, she said that a director made her do it and RGV, showed his guts in taking full responsibility and apologized to the entire fandom of Pawan Kalyan. But such kind of behaviour is too graphic for even the low standards he set for himself, these days.
