Ram Charan is currently bys with Rajamouli’s RRR, which is the biggest pan-Indian project in the making, in India right now. He will be seen playing Alluri Sitaramaraju in the movie, which has huge expectations on it. Contrary to popular belief, it is being said that RRR will release on October 13th, as per its original schedule.
Ram Charan signed on to work with director Shankar, after RRR, making that film his immediate follow up to a massive film like RRR. While the pre-production works for this film had been started, there was a lot of confusion over the fate of this film, given that Lyca Productions had filed a complaint on Shankar in the Madras High Court, requesting the court to make sure the director doesn’t work on any project until the completion of Indian 2. The shooting of Indian 2 was stopped following the massive accident that took place on set last year and never resumed after that. A legal battle over this issue, between Shankar and Lyca Productions, was going on until recently.
Now that the Madras High Court has made it clear that it wouldn’t stop Shankar from doing any other film before completing Indian 2, Ram Charan’s film with Shankar is finally in the green, to go ahead.
