Actress Rakul Preet Singh is about to be seen on the big screen, in Telugu, after quite some time, in director Krish Jagarlamudi’s Konda Polam, which is all set to release on October 8th. Rakul plays the role of Obulamma in the film, who is a shepherdess, as seen in the trailer, and the songs of the film. Vaishnav Tej is the protagonist in this film, while Keeravani is the music director.
Speaking about the film in a recent interview, Rakul said that her character in Konda Polam is a once in a lifetime role for her and that she’s very much happy to be a part of the film. She said that it’s always good to be a part of a film that has a lot to offer in terms of performance, and said that she would like to do more such films in the future. She also said that she’s interested in female-oriented films as well.
On the other hand, Konda Polam marks the second film of Vaishnav Tej, after his debut film Uppena, which was released earlier this year, and turned out to be a massive blockbuster at the box office, despite the coronavirus pandemic.
