The winds in Telugu Film Industry keep changing with strong trade winds blowing in any direction. The trade decides which direction to go and the industry follows it big time. After her introduction, in Venkatadri Express, Rakul Preet was considered the latest it girl in the industry and she followed that success with hit movies like Pandaga Chesuko, Current Theega and Loukhyam. She was dubbed as the lucky mascot and golden leg as all the films have become crucial hits for the respective actors who were in dire need.
But the tables turned with big budget movies Kick 2 and BruceLee failing at the box office. She suddenly had to depend on her big projects to be successful to sustain her initial momentum. Nannaku Prematho with Jr. NTR broke the jinx off her not being successful in big projects and Rakul too looked like million bucks in the movie, with her own dubbing. After the movie, Sarrainodu with Allu Arjun became a blockbuster and now, Dhruva after below par first day showed great sustainability on Day 2 and Day 3.
The film will easily become breakeven by the end of second weekend or second week with the positive talk it accumulated. With back to back successes and resume looking strong with Sai Dharam Tej’s Winner, Mahesh’s Sambhavami, Kalyan Krishna – Naga Chaitanya’s film and Boyapati Srinu’s film, she is completely packed for 2017 and with atleast 2 of them appearing to have strong potential to perform big at box office she seems to be on a roll and high in Telugu Film Industry.
