The Income Tax Department reportedly conducted searches at more than 12 locations in Mumbai on Monday, September 28th.
The searches are part of a financial investigation involving Bollywood production houses, an actress and other individuals. Officials are reportedly examining financial records and overseas remittances linked to film projects.
The investigation is looking into whether funds were moved abroad in the name of movie production and whether the transactions followed tax rules.
The locations reportedly include those linked to filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani, actress Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Entertainment and Panorama Studios.
However, the Income Tax Department has not officially shared details about the searches or the transactions under review. The investigation is still underway and no conclusion about financial irregularities can be drawn at this stage.
