Rakul Preet Singh has been advocating equality among the genders from a long time. She celebrated her birthday aming young kids and said, “Every girl child should be educated. They should have equal rights with boys in getting highly educated. At least, basic education should be given to all children without any bias.”
She attended the drive to spread the message across the Telugu states by Andhra Pradesh State Government and talked about her earlier days too. “My parents never treated me different to Boys and they gave me equal opportunities to explore my life. When I asked them if I can join films, they accepted and gave me good suggestions how to conduct myself. Also, the education they gave me, helped me to navigate through the various problems I faced. If I stand confident in a respectable position today, then thanks to the education given by my parents and I will do my bit to see every girl child gets a chance to educate themselves.”
On the film front, Rakul is busy with her films in Hindi and Tamil. Aiyaary with Siddharth Malhotra shoot is going on at a rapid pace and also, she completed movie with Karthi, Khakhi and soon will start shooting for Suriya’s next.
