Rajpal Yadav has been sentenced by the Delhi High Court to three months in jail in each of the seven cheque bounce cases linked to a Rs. 9 crore debt dispute.
The court also ordered him to pay Rs. 1.05 crore to the complainant in each case along with Rs. 25,000 to the State.
His wife, Radha Yadav, has also been directed to pay over Rs. 5 crore to the complainant in each of the seven cases.
The court said the Rs. 2.25 crore already paid by Rajpal will be adjusted from the total amount.
Earlier, Rajpal told the court he had suffered heavy financial losses, sold his property, and made large payments, but no settlement was reached.
