Actor Rajpal Yadav was released from Tihar Jail after the Delhi H.C granted him interim bail till March 18th in a cheque bounce case. He had spent 13 days in jail.
As per the court’s earlier order, Rajpal deposited Rs 1.5 crore into the complainant’s bank account. The court also asked him to surrender his passport which means he cannot travel abroad without permission.
After coming out of jail Rajpal thanked the court and his fans for supporting him. He said he has been working in Bollywood for 30 years and will attend all future hearings.
The case is related to a Rs 9 crore financial dispute from 2010. He had borrowed money to produce his film Ata Pata Paapata but after it failed, he faced heavy losses. The legal case will continue.
