Rajni’s 2.0 to support ‘Make in India’ initiative!

Rajnikanth, the Superstar of Indian Cinema managed to topple the expectations of audience and trade by making the most expensive of India ever. Till 2.0 was announced, the distinction was held by Telugu Film, Bahubali and as the film is a two part story, the total budget of 450 crores was divided between the two movies. But 2.0 cost is expected to be more than 400 crores just for one movie. Film directed by Shankar is the sequel of extremely successful, Enthiran/Robot and this time the movie will release in three languages at the same time on Diwali.

The film stars Hindi star hero, Akshay Kumar as a villain and Sudhanshu Pandey as the nemesis of both the scientists. When the film was announced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi requested Rajnikanth and his team to let the movie be an example for ‘Make in India’ theme and the team obliged to it. The producers of the film, Lyca Productions, to honour request brought in all the know-how required to Chennai EVM Film City and that increased the budget. The producers are happy about it as they believe the helicam shots of sequences involving Rajni and Akshay will be thrilling to audience.

The producers also expressed confidence that after the movie, Indian theatres will look at improving the facilities for hosting 3D films and even the makers will think about using the technology more for their movies. For the film, the team has opted for bringing in 3D cameras rather than shooting the movie in 2D and converting it to 3D. AR Rehman is busy scoring for the movie and the last schedule of the movie is completed recently. Resul Pookotty, Srinivas Mohan, Sabu Cyril are working for the movie.
