Rajnikanth with Huma Qureshi!

Superstar Rajnikanth has completed shooting for his sci-fi big budget extravaganza, 2.0 directed by Shankar. The movie is Robo sequel and it is said to be releasing for next Summer and if the VFX work requires more time the production wants to give it as much time as they require. Fans need not worry about not watching Thalaivar on screen for a long time.

The actor is ready to act in the movie directed by Kabali fame, Pa. Ranjith. The story is said to be a gangster film once again starring Rajni as a don. The news that the movie story is based on the story of Mumbai don, Haji Masthan has been rendered to be false by Dhanush, the producer and writer- director Pa. Ranjith in an open statement. The team has been looking for an apt actress beside Rajni for the movie. Their search stopped at Vidya Balan, but the actress pulled out at the last minute citing date problems.

Now, the latest scoop is that Huma Qureshi has been finalised for the movie. According to the sources, ” The makes were looking for someone with a strong screen presence aa it’s a performance oriented role. She is really excited to be a part of the movie and will start prepping for the role soon.” The sources also revealed that, “Movie will go on floors in Mumbai by 28th of Mumbai and the film will be full of surprises for Thalaivar fans.”
