Rajanikanth has become Superstar in Tamil Nadu and his fans are all around the world in different languages. Hence, his film releases still remain a big event and fans want him to deliver one more big blockbuster, before he decides to stop. But except for Petta and 2.0, none of his films have dominated Box office like they used and even these two ended up being average grossers for the cost. So, the expectations on his next, Annatthe are huge.
The film is being directed by Siva, who made Viswasam recently with Ajith after Veeram, Vedhalam and Vivegam. Meena, Khushboo, Nayantara and Keerthy Suresh are acting in important roles in the film. For the movie, huge sets that look a lot like Pune city are being built in Chennai it seems. Once they are built, the actor will join the shoot when the Governments determine it is right time to resume film shoots. Tamil Nadu Government did not give permission for massive film shoots that require more than 50 members on board, till date.
