After launching their production banner Kampa Films with Toaster (yet to release on Netflix), Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are moving ahead with their second film. This untitled project stars Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles and will begin shooting in Mumbai on June 1st.
According to reports, the film is a satire on India’s education system. It highlights how profit has become the main focus, replacing true learning.
Rajkummar and Keerthy play two teachers who aim to expose the growing commercialization of education. The film will use humor and irony to show how the system is failing students and losing its core values.
The film will be directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, who previously directed Sector 36 (2024). A second schedule is planned in Delhi, with a 45-day continuous shoot.
Kampa Films was launched earlier this year, with Patralekhaa describing it as their dream to support meaningful storytelling.
