At the 56th International Film Festival of India in Goa, Rajinikanth received the Lifetime Achievement Award. The honour was presented to him by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and other officials.
After receiving the award Rajinikanth said that he loves acting so much that even if he could take 100 births he would still want to be born as an actor as Rajinikanth again.
He said the award belongs to the entire film industry and especially to his fans whom he called the ‘gods’ who keep him going.
On stage Rajini also gave a strong message: “This is not the end… this is just the beginning”, he said with his classic smile.
The Goa film festival once again showed that Rajinikanth is more than an actor, he is an emotion and an inspiration for millions.
