Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest film Darbar with filmmaker AR Murugadoss suffered a massive loss which left distributors knock the doors of the actor. The cop thriller, produced by Lyca Productions, turned out to be a flop venture with the producer incurring losses. But, Darbar’s loss did not dampen Rajinikanth’s spirits as he is now concentrating on his upcoming film with director Siruthai Siva. In a surprise announcement, the makers unveiled the film’s title as Annatha. Annatha, in colloquial Tamil means elder brother.
Since Darbar had a simultaneous release in Telugu and Hindi, Annatha is also expected to release in Telugu. The team along with Siruthai Siva is shooting at the prestigious Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad for the past couple of weeks. A few days ago, Nayanthara was spotted with costume designer Anu Parthasarathy at the Hyderabad airport. She wore a blue polka dotted dress and her pictures went viral on social media. Annatha boasts a star cast including Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu, Meena, Prakash Raj and Soori. The film has music composed by D Imman and his theme music for the title launch was massy and peppy like every introduction song of Superstar Rajinikanth.
