Rajinikanth’s Coolie Gears Up For OTT Release

Rajinikanth’s latest film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is all set for its OTT debut. The movie will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in the second week of September, just four weeks after its theatrical release on August 14th.

Despite collecting good numbers worldwide, Coolie was termed only an average success. Several distributors faced losses in important regions and critics called it one of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s weakest works.

In Tamil Nadu and the Telugu states, the film’s run slowed down due to mixed talk though Rajinikanth’s charisma managed collections.

The makers now hope the OTT release will give the film a fresh push especially among audiences who missed it in theatres.

Produced on a grand scale by Sun Pictures, the movie features Rajinikanth in a dual-shaded role, with Shruti Haasan and Sathyaraj in key roles. Anirudh’s music adds to the appeal.
