Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe’s shooting cancelled due to Corona

Superstar Rajinikanth is presently shooting for his upcoming film Annaatthe, directed by Siruthai Siva. The film’s shooting has been progressing at a brisk pace. After completing a schedule in Hyderabad, the makers also shot a couple of sequences in the city of Chennai. However, the shooting of Annaatthe has been put on hold due to the Corona outbreak that’s spreading like wildfire in the world. Recently, it was announced that 31 Indians have been identified with Coronavirus, out of which two of them are from Delhi.

Reportedly, the makers of Annaatthe had planned a shoot in North India. Since there have been clear cut instructions regarding the Coronavirus, the shooting has been put on hold. As of now, there is no news regarding the film’s shooting schedule. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film stars Nayanthara, Meena, Khushbu, Prakash Raj, Keerthy Suresh and Soori in the lead roles. Recently, it was reported that actor Gopichand might make his comeback in Kollywood with this film. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has music composed by D Imman. Annaathe is touted to be a rural entertainer that is on the lines of director Siruthai Siva’s previous films Veeram and Viswasam.
