Rajinikanth known for his spiritual beliefs, often visits the Himalayas for meditation before beginning new films.
In 2017, when he started his political party, Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM) he promised to introduce a mix of secular and spiritual politics in Tamil Nadu.
Recently a video of him speaking about Indian youth losing touch with their cultural roots has gone viral. At an event organized by his wife Latha Rajinikanth in Chennai, Rajini expressed concern that many young people, influenced by mobile phone culture, are blindly following Western lifestyles without understanding the richness of Indian traditions.
He pointed out that while Westerners come to India for peace through yoga and meditation, Indian youth are moving away from it.
He praised Latha’s initiative to spread awareness about Indian culture and wished her success. On the film front Rajinikanth is busy with Coolie, releasing on August 14, 2025, and Jailer 2, which is currently being shot.
