Rajendra Prasad has responded to criticism after he used an offensive slang word while referring to Ali. The remark drew backlash prompting the actor to release a public apology.
He opened up and regretted his words, promising to be more careful in the future. “The world has changed and I must change with it”, he said, acknowledging the shift in public expectations.
He explained that during his early days in the industry, such informal language was commonly used among friends and was never meant to hurt anyone.
“I’ve always spoken with love toward my fellow actors”, he said. However, he agreed that times have changed and stressed the importance of speaking respectfully in public.
He added, “I promise to treat everyone with respect until my last breath”. This incident follows a previous controversy in March involving inappropriate comments about cricketer David Warner.
