Rajendra Prasad has apologized for his controversial remarks about Tamil actor and former CM MG Ramachandran popularly known as MGR.
He released a video bite in Tamil and expressed regret for his comments directly apologizing to the Tamil audience and everyone who got hurt.
The controversy began when Rajendra Prasad spoke about Telugu actor Kantha Rao during a public speech.
While praising Kantha Rao’s charisma and his performances in folklore roles he said Ramachandran used to feel intimidated by him. However those words he used were considered disrespectful and received strong criticism.
Many people pointed out that praising Kantha Rao did not require negative remarks about MGR.
