Rajasekhar’s Shekar removed from from theatres

Dr. Rajasekhar’s latest film, Shekar, in which he and his daughter Shivani have played father and daughter on the big screen for the first time, has been removed from all the theatres in the state, due to the City’s Civil Court orders.

The City Civil Court gave this order after a petition filed by financier Paradhama Reddy, as the actor didn’t pay his returns despite a court order. Shekar is directed by Jeevitha Rajasekhar, and while the film didn’t have any buzz surrounding it, Rajasekhar’s performance in the film has been appreciated.

On the other hand, there’s no clarity over whether and when the film will be back in theatres. This is Rajasekhar’s first release after Deyyam, and the film is an official remake of the Malayalam film Joseph, which starred Joju George in the lead role.
