Rajamouli is the reason behind making Ponniyin Selvan in two parts, says Mani Ratnam

Ace director Mani Ratnam’s ambitious project, PS-2 is gearing up for a grand release on April 28rh. As the first installment was highly appreciated by the audience across Tamil Nadu, the expectations on the second part on the second installment are very high among the audience.

Meanwhile, this evening at the promotional event, the senior director has heaps of praise on SS Rajamouli. He said that if SS Rajamouli wouldn’t make in two parts, Ponniyin Selvan would have not been in two parts. In that category, I would like to thank the visionary directors sincerely.

Coming back to PS-2, the film stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shobita Dhulipala among others in prominent roles, as the first installment of this period drama went to become the biggest blockbuster in Kollywood the hype around the second installment is very high among moviegoers.
