Raj Tarun entered the film industry to become a director but producer Ram Mohan and director Virinchi Verma made him an actor when Akkineni Nagarjuna recommended a fresh face for Uyyala Jampala. Raj Tarun made a name for himself with his strong accent and talent. He then made it hat-trick hits with Cinema Choopistha Mama and Sukumar’s Kumari 21F. His next movie Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu became a flop but he came back with Manchu Vishnu Multi-starrer Aado Rakam Eedo Rakam.
Before Raj Tarun, Hero Tharun, Uday Kiran also had continuous successes in their early career but then fell deep into abyss with their choice of films. Uday Kiran even committed suicide unable to withstand the failure. Tharun is busy handling his business and is looking for a good script to make a comeback. There are Nani and Ravi Teja who utilised the successes as platform and made it big for longer period of time. Now, Raj seems to be taking steps in the right direction learning from these examples.
On a lighter note, it is interesting if you notice Raj Tarun in his 5 released movies, worked with two heroines twice! One is Avika Gor and another is Hebah Patel. With Kumari, Hebah conquered the hearts of youth and she became a hot favourite for all the new makers. Her pairing with Raj Tarun became even more popular as filmmakers believe in Sentiments, after the success of Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam. Hebah Patel is set to appear third time with Raj Tarun in a teenage love story directed by Veligonda Srinivas. Not much details about the story and script are known yet.
