Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty has been summoned by Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in a Rs. 60 crore cheating case.
He finally spoke about the issue during the promotions of his Punjabi film Mehar in Delhi. Raj said that both he and Shilpa have done nothing wrong and the truth will come out soon.
The case was filed by businessman Deepak Kothari, who alleged that between 2015 and 2023, Shilpa and Raj took over Rs. 60 crore from him under the promise of investing in their company Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd.
Instead, he claims, the money was used for personal expenses. Kothari stated that he transferred nearly Rs. 60 crore in two installments in 2015 but was never repaid.
Despite repeated requests, the funds were not returned. Shilpa and Raj’s lawyer has denied all allegations, saying they will present their side to the authorities.
