Rai Lakshmi was introduced into the telugu film industry with Kanchanamala Cable TV. She made a great pairing with Sri Kanth but unfortunately she could not attract audience much as the film failed to register success at the box office.
In a similar way, Nikisha Patel too had a fanfare introduction into industry with Pawan Kalyan ‘s Puli but the film and her performance were highly criticised. She could not achieve any success even though she acted with some notable production houses.
Rai Lakshmi fortunes changed when she entered into script strong Malayalam industry and made name for herself with brilliant performances. Her Tamil movie, Dhaam Dhoom too gave her a recognition as a good actress and awards too. She appeared in successes like Kanchana, Mankatha, Balupu and Aranmanai. With her reputation to being a glam doll with acting talent she was able to garner respectable fan following in South India.
She is currently making a hindi film, Julie 2. After that, director Mithran Jawahar is planning to remake women centric Malayalam thriller, 100 Degrees Celsius starring Ananya, Swetha Menon and three more strong woman characters, with Rai Lakshmi and Nikisha Patel, in two languages. The movie will see slight changes from critically acclaimed original and will start going on floor from December.
