Raghava Lawrence expressed his happiness after meeting his mentor and inspiration, superstar Rajinikanth, following many months.
Sharing pictures on social media, he wrote, “I couldn’t meet him for a long time, and spending even a few minutes with him today was a great blessing”. Their photos have since gone viral.
Beyond cinema the bond between Rajinikanth and Raghava goes much deeper, built on their shared devotion to the 16th century saint Raghavendra.
Both credit their faith for guiding their lives and success. Rajinikanth often says devotion gave his life purpose, while Lawrence believes Raghavendra’s grace shaped his journey.
Raghava Lawrence has always admired Rajinikanth’s style, often reflecting it in his films. “I can’t be his role model, but I learn faith and humility from him”, he once said.
On the work front, Lawrence is shooting Kanchana 4, while Rajinikanth is working on Jailer 2 and will soon reunite with Kamal Haasan after forty years.
