Rachita Ram, popularly known as the Dimple Queen of Kannada cinema has made her Tamil debut with Rajinikanth’s film Coolie released on August 14th.
She played Kalyani, an antagonist role that impressed audiences and showcased her acting depth. This film marks not only her entry into Kollywood but also her first project outside Kannada films.
Born as Bindhiya Ram on October 3, 1992, in Bengaluru, Rachita comes from an artistic family, her father, K. S. Ram, is a Bharatanatyam dancer.
She began her career in 2012 with the TV serial Arasi and entered films with Bul Bul in 2013. Over the years she acted in over 20 Kannada films.
A trained Bharatanatyam dancer, Rachita has performed in more than 50 stage shows. In Coolie she reunited with co-star Upendra, while the film also stars Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, and Aamir Khan.
