Raashii Khanna, Vikrant Massey’s The Sabarmati Report Gets OTT Release Date

Vikrant Massey’s starrer drama The Sabarmati Report created a lot of stir upon its theatrical release. One of the most awaited movies in the online space, The Sabarmati Report is inspired by real-life events surrounding the tragic Godhra train burning that happened in 2002, Gujarat. After grabbing much appreciation in the theaters, the movie is set to release on an OTT platform this week.

The Sabarmati Report Release Date & Platform

The Sabarmati Report premiered in cinemas on November 15, 2024. Featuring a stellar star cast including Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra, the movie was made tax-free in a few Indian states. The movie subtly delves into the heartbreaking tragedy and the aftermath that followed the incident.

As per several media reports, The Sabarmati Report will start streaming on Zee5 from January 10, 2025.

Directed by Ranjan Chandel, The Sabarmati Report garnered acclaim from the critics and went on to earn Rs 34.27 crore at the box office. The movie’s story centers around two journalists—one determined to uncover the truth behind the Godhra train incident and the other, in a different time frame, stumbling upon a hidden fact about the same incident that the journalist wants to disclose.

For the uninitiated, The Sabarmati Report was screened in the Parliament, and after watching, PM Modi shared a tweet expressing his views on the film. He said, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”
