Raashii Khanna celebrates Dhanteras by following family traditions and spending time with her loved ones. For her the festival is about welcoming prosperity with good health and happiness into life.
She makes sure to be with her family during Dhanteras and Diwali, despite her busy work schedule. The evening Lakshmi puja is an important part of their celebrations.
Raashii also shared her childhood memories of Dhanteras especially buying new things and enjoying sweets. As she grew older she began to understand the importance of the festival rituals.
She also revealed that a pair of gold bangles passed down from her great great grandmother is her most precious possession.
She prefers traditional gold jewellery and believes even a small gold or silver coin is an auspicious purchase on Dhanteras.
