When it was announced that Pushpa would be released in two parts, it was also announced that both the films would be released within a span of a year. However, following the massive success of the first part, the makers of the film decided that the second part would be made on a grander scale, and the preparations for the second part began soon enough. The shoot for the film was supposed to have begun by now, but the makers decided to further postpone the film, after the success of RRR and KGF 2, so that director Sukumar could get more time to fine-tune the script of the second part. It is now expected that the second part could begin shooting in another two or three months.
This is now set to become a gain for NTR and Koratala Siva’s film, as they are said to be considering Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady for the film. Alia Bhatt was almost confirmed as the leading lady of the film, but the actress recently walked out following her wedding. While Pooja Hegde is another actress who is being considered, director Koratala is said to be keen on roping in Rashmika, as Pooja and NTR were seen together in Aravinda Sametha already.
On the other hand, Pushpa’s delay turned out to be a gain for Rashmika as well, as the actress would be able to complete 2-3 films in the meantime. She recently signed on to Vijay’s film with Vamshi Paidipally and has several other projects lined up.
