Icon star Allu Arjun’s much-awaited film, Pushpa: The Rise, directed by Sukumar, was released on December 17th, and while the film may have received mixed responses from everyone, the film still managed to collect good revenue at the box office. The film forms the first part of the planned two parts. The second part titled Pushpa: The Rule is scheduled to release next year.
At the Thank You meet of the film that was held today, Sukumar said that the shooting for the second part of the film would begin mostly in February 2022. He also said that a lot of research went into making Pushpa and that not even 1% of this was used in making the first part. He said that he would try to incorporate as much as he can, into making the second part, and revealed his other plans as well.
Sukumar said that a web series was being planned, in the world of Pushpa, and that a book was also being planned, which would better be suited to bring out all the research that was done, to the public. Sukumar also donated Ra. 1 Lakh to every set boy and production boy who worked day and night to make the film a reality.
