Pushpa: The Rise, which was released last year, turned out to be a massive hit across the country, collecting more than 100 Crores at the box office. Sukumar worked on the script of the sequel for quite some time to make sure that it is the best possible version, and the pre-production formalities of the film were completed just recently.

The shoot of the film is to begin on November 13th and is set to take place in the dense forests of Bangkok. Sukumar is currently in Bangkok to plan for the shoot. Bunny will join the team from the 13th, and the actor is currently in South Africa, where is attending a friend’s wedding. It is expected that 30% of the film’s shoot will take place in Bangkok’s forests.

On the other hand, the cast of the first film, including Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Anasuya and several others, are expected to return for the sequel, and others are also expected to be added to the film. The film is set to be released for the Christmas weekend of 2023.
