Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise, which was released on December 17th, is performing exceedingly well at the box office, more than what anyone expected, especially in the non-Telugu markets. The film is second only to the Baahubali franchise in Tamil, to get really good collections, and the film has now even beat the collections of Baahubali: The Beginning, in Hindi.
Pushpa: The Rise, is said to have collected Rs. 23.35 Crores in ints third week (Friday-Wednesday), whereas, Baahubali: The Beginning collected Rs 21.98 Crores in its third week. This is a huge achievement, considering the current situation, and the fact that several states in North India have given permission for only 50% occupancy in the theatres.
On the other hand, the pre-production works for the second part of Pushpa are expected to begin after Sankranthi, with director Sukumar reportedly planning to begin shooting by March. Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady of Pushpa, while Fahadh Faasil is the antagonist. The second part of the film is scheduled to release in December this year.
