When it was announced that Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise, directed by Sukumar, would be released on a pan-Indian scale, everyone thought that the filmmakers were mad, as there was no publicity for the film in the North, and there wasn’t even much buzz surrounding the film in the North. Despite so many apprehensions, Pushpa: The Rise turned out to be a massive blockbuster, becoming the highest grossing film of 2021.
The film not only became a grand success, but also began trending across the nation and even internationally, on a grand scale, with everyone mimicking Bunny’s Thaggede Le mannerism and grooving to Pushpa’s songs. The film has now been screened at Moscow International Film Festival, with the Embassy of India in Moscow sharing Allu Arjun’s poster on social media and writing: “We gladly announce that the film ‘Pushpa – The Rise: Part 1’ has been selected by the Moscow International Film Festival under the category of ‘Block Buster hits around the world’”.
On the other hand, the pooja ceremony for the second part of Pushpa took place recently, and the shoot is expected to begin in late September. All the original cast will be returning for the sequel, and new cast members are also expected to be added.
