The much-awaited Pushpa: The Rise, starring Allu Arjun in the lead role, and directed by Sukumar, which was released on December 17th, opened to mixed responses from everywhere. Several factors were pointed out to be drawbacks for the film, which include the less than satisfactory background music and the long runtime of the film. As a result, all of these factors are said to be ‘repaired’, so that the film would appeal more to the audiences.
One particular scene has been removed from the film, the scene where Bunny and Rashmika interact in a van, in the second half. This scene has not sat well with audiences, with some saying that they haven’t expected such a scene from a director like Sukumar, and some saying that it is hurtful to the concept of consent. The background score of the film has also been improvised at certain places.
The second half of the film has been retouched by a lot, especially in the lead up to the climax, which everyone has been of the opinion that it has been dragged beyond necessity. All of these changes have come into effect from today, Sunday, itself.
