While the buzz around Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise, was very high in Telugu, owing to his fanbase, the same cannot be said of the Hindi version, which had a cold release. The film was not even promoted even vaguely to the Hindi audiences, but the film is doing wonders in the Bollywood market. The film received a mixed response in Telugu, but managed to get a good talk in Hindi, and is even minting good money at the box office.
The Tamil version of the film is also doing pretty well, considering that the Tamil market is a tough market. Pushpa has crossed the Rs. 25 Crores mark in Tamil Nadu, becoming the only film apart from the Baahubali franchise to be able to do so. The only other film that is anywhere close to Pushpa’s collections is Naan Ee (Eega in Tamil), with Rs. 24.5 Crores.
Given that Bunny’s Pushpa is the only non-Rajamouli film to be able to do good business in Tamil Nadu, even considering the coronavirus pandemic, is a piece of huge news to Bunny’s fans.
