Pushpa continues to dominate the Hindi box office

Prior to the release of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise, there were reports that the Hindi version would be going for a direct OTT release, without a theatrical release. While the issues were later sorted, and it was confirmed that Pushpa would be getting a theatrical release in Hindi, the makers suffered losses, as they sold the Hindi theatrical rights way earlier.

Pushpa wasn’t even promoted in Hindi, with Bunny sticking to promote the South Indian versions itself. Yet, the Hindi version of the film is doing wonders at the box office, continuing to go strong, despite the pandemic. Pushpa has been able to reach the rural parts of North India, according to reports, which is being said as its main advantage. Pushpa has earned ₹86 crores (₹72 crores Nett) approx in India in its first three weeks of the run, earning a share of ₹31 crores., and it is expected to go up to ₹115 crores (₹95 crores Nett) if theatres remain open for the next three to four weeks.

On the other hand, the work for the second part of Pushpa is expected to begin after Sankranthi, and the film is expected to go on floors from March. The second part of Pushpa is scheduled to be released in December this year.
