Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, directed by Sukumar, was released last week, to really good numbers, in the South and in the Hindi market as well. The film did better than expected in the Hindi market. Things seemed to be good until the weekend passed, but they soon turned sour from Tuesday, when the collections of the movie saw a steep downfall.
While the film’s collections in the Hindi market haven’t come down steeply, the same cannot be said of the collections in the South. Pushpa hasn’t been received well by the audiences, with mixed talks all over. Audiences and fans were of the opinion that the film didn’t do Bunny justice and that it could have been better. As a result, the collections were expected to come down.
Now, with the release of Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy, which has opened to a positive response, the collections of Pushpa are expected to go down further. Pushpa: The Rise is only the first part of the planned two parts. Considering the response to the first part, it should now to be seen how the second part will be handled.
