There’s no second thoughts in the fact that things have changed a lot as a result of the pandemic. The film industry has changed vastly because of the pandemic, and it looks like Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise, and Prabhas’s recently released Radhe Shyam are setting up a new post-covid trend in the country. Both the films released across the country, as they have been made as pan-Indian movies.
Pushpa had a weak first week, with the film getting highly mixed reviews in the Telugu states. However, the film picked up very quickly in the North from the second week, becoming the high grosser in the North belt, of 2021, dethroning even Spiderman: No Way Home, and pushing Sooryavanshi to number 3. It now looks as though it’s the same with Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam as well.
Radhe Shyam got a really good opening in the Telugu states, but saw a slow opening in the Northern part of the country. The film picked up on its second day, and it is being said that the film will get stronger in the North hereon. It is now to be seen what will happen to other big films in the days to come.
