Everyone had their own set of doubts over the performance of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise on a pan-Indian scale when it was released in December last year. Apart from that, there were no promotions done for Pushpa in Hindi either, which further made things questionable regarding the film’s performance in the North. However, despite all expectations, the film went on to do wonders across the country, even becoming the highest grosser in Hindi.
With the massive success of the first part of the film, the makers are making sure that they leave no stone unturned for the second part, having increased the budget and now bringing an ensemble cast into the picture. The main conflict is expected to revolve around Bunny and Fahadh Faasil’s characters only, but more players are expected to play their part in this conflict.
Director Sukumar is currently working on the script, and the shooting of the film is expected to begin in the second half of this year. The film is scheduled to release in the summer of 2023.
