Purushaha Movie Review & Rating!

Purushaha is one of the small films releasing this week, but it has a strong supporting cast with actors like Rajkumar Kasireddy, Saptagiri, VTV Ganesh, and Vennela Kishore, which has created good interest. The teaser and trailer also looked impressive. Now it remains to be seen how the film will entertain the audience.

Purushaha Story: Govind is a family therapist who helps couples solve problems and lives happily with his wife. But after getting drunk, he reveals his first love, which creates a big fight between them. Later, a friend’s diary reveals old memories of Govind and his friends, causing misunderstandings with their wives and leading them toward divorce. The story then focuses on how the friends try to resolve the conflicts and save their relationships.

Performances: Pavan Kalyan Bathula, a newcomer, looks good in a few scenes and gives a controlled performance without overacting. Vaishnavi Kokkura impresses with her looks and cute expressions. Rajkumar Kasireddy and Saptagiri dominate the film with their trademark comedy and effective one-liners.

Their wives roles, played by Vashika and Hasini Sudheer, also bring some laughs. Vennela Kishore’s small role is entertaining but ends disappointingly. Pammi Sai and VTV Ganesh add more comedy, while Hari Teja and Rajiv Kanakala are just okay.

Technical Aspects: Comedy entertainers with family emotions always have good demand and strong box office potential when balanced well, like Anil Ravipudi’s successful formula. The director of Purushaha seems to have followed a similar style. Comedy tracks of Saptagiri and Rajkumar Kasireddy work well, along with a few effective one-liners. The emotional link between the hero’s flashback and heroine in the climax is good.

However, some characters like Vennela Kishore and Rajiv Kanakala are left underdeveloped. Songs are okay, background score is decent, production values are solid, but a few VFX shots feel unnecessary. Cinematography is good and the runtime is a plus.

Analysis: Recently, good family entertainers have been missing, and ‘Purushaha’ helps fill that gap. With no high expectations, audiences can enjoy a few laughs and feel satisfied. Overall, it looks like a decent weekend watch.
Verdict: A decent family comedy entertainer that works mainly for its comedy and offers a light, satisfying watch despite a few flaws.
