Puri Jagannath introduced Chakri as a music composer with the film, Bachi. Movie failed at box office but the music became a hit. After that film till Super, he continued to work with Chakri and they gave memorable hits in films like Idiot, Itlu Shravani Subramanyam, Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi, Sivamani. Chakri did films with Vamsy and their first combination, Avunu Valliddaru Isthapaddaru became a super musical Hit. Chakri’s music for flops like Neninthe, 143, Andhrawala is also remembered today.
He gave one of his best melodious albums for Sumanth’s Satyam produced by Annapurna Studios and made efforts to give at least one hit for every film he composed. His last hit film with Puri Jagannath is Deshamuduru. Golimaar is not a huge musical hit but it has numbers to remember too. Well, with such long association, Puri Jagannath calls Chakri Thammudu and he remembered his brother, on his Birth Anniversary, on 15th June.
