Producer and distributor Chaitanya Reddy of Prime Show Entertainment has made allegations against director Puri Jagannadh and producer Charmy over the losses from Double iSmart.
Chaitanya Reddy claimed that she and her husband, producer Niranjan Reddy, lost around Rs 35 crore after acquiring the film’s worldwide theatrical rights.
Starring Ram Pothineni, Double iSmart was produced by Puri and Charmy and released in August 2024. The film failed at the box office.
Chaitanya alleged that Charmy stopped responding to her calls while Puri changed his phone number. She said they later met in Mumbai to discuss the losses.
According to Chaitanya, Charmy suggested another film but reportedly demanded Rs 15 crore and a 50 percent profit share. These claims are based on Chaitanya’s account.
