Puri Jagannadh, the mighty director who could create characters like Badri, Shivamani, Chanti, Pandu and many more that made youth and mass crowd go crazy for him, is now in an all-time low phase in his career. He is unable to find a balance between his image, ideas and freshness in presentation these days. While he wants to create lovable characters he is unable to write good stories and innovative screenplays around them.
Recently, his best character has been Theda Singh, from Paisa Vasool. Balakrishna suited the character really well and even the songs in the film became very famous with few one-liners. But the movie did not click as expected. Puri tried to change his style for his son with Mehbooba, but the scenes looked too childish from a master filmmaker. Now, the financial troubles due to the movie becoming a disaster have surmounted him it seems.
Balakrishna has become a good friend of Puri Jagannath and the director is hopeful of doing another movie with him it seems. A source said, “Balakrishna is a man who thinks about the well-being of everyone he knows and he, in fact, likes Puri. So, he may do a film in his production to bail him out of the financial troubles.” Well, Puri Jagannath if secures another opportunity, he should deliver on his promise of making a perfect film that will suit Balakrishna.
