This Diwali, four films, Mithra Mandali, Telusu Kada, K Ramp, and Dude (dubbed), are releasing in the same week. Though these are relatively small films, the clash has already drawn attention. Mithra Mandali had paid previews starting October 15th, but it didn’t get the expected positive word of mouth.
At the Mithra Mandali pre-release event on Monday, producer Bunny Vas spoke about negative campaigns targeting films.
He said that while multiple films releasing together should help the industry grow, some people spread hate to benefit their own projects. He emphasized that the audience’s choice matters most and competition should be fair.
Bunny wished success to all Diwali films and encouraged positivity, even toward online critics and trolls. Many felt his comments were aimed at the other Diwali release, K Ramp.
At K Ramp’s pre-release in Hyderabad on Thursday, producer Rajesh Danda thanked the cast and crew and said gimmicks like sympathy cards or emotional stunts don’t decide a film’s success. Good content attracts audiences, and he wished all Diwali releases well.
