The production of “Salaar 2” is currently underway, following the success of its predecessor, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire”. Set to commence regular filming this month, the sequel is titled “Salaar 2: Shouryaanga Parvam”.
Prabhas reprised his role as Deva, the main protagonist, alongside Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran, who portrayed Shiva Mannar and his son Varadaraj Mannar in the first installment.
Prithviraj’s character, Varadha, appeared prominently in the first part, with a brief portrayal of Shiva.
In a recent social media update, Prithviraj Sukumaran expressed his fascination with the character and storyline of Shiva Mannar, highlighting it as the most intriguing among director Prashanth Neel‘s narratives. He also hinted that Shiva Mannar’s story is intertwined with another cinematic universe.
Fans have begun speculating that this connection could be with either the “KGF” universe or Neel’s upcoming project featuring NTR.
Reports suggest that Prashanth Neel aims to merge the narratives of “KGF,” “Salaar,” and the forthcoming NTR film, envisioning a crossover akin to the Hollywood blockbuster “Avengers: Endgame,” where all these stars will converge in a single film.
This ambitious plan hints at a grand cinematic universe that Neel is ambitiously building, promising an exciting convergence of characters and storylines across multiple films.
