Premam was the talk of town since the remake of the malayalam cult classic was announced. There were many trolls regarding the story and choice of actors for the movie. Except for the producers S Radha Krishna and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and the actor Naga Chaitanya not many were confident about the movie working in Telugu as well.Director Chandoo Mondeti took the opportunity with both hands and worked hard on making the film and capturing the magic of the original again on screen. For his effort he has been rewarded with praises all day yesterday and today too. The cameos by Victory Venkatesh and Akkineni Nagarjuna turned out to be surprise package for the film.
Many fans were surprised with the maturity Chaitanya showcased the Vikram character on screen and they without hiding their excitement congratulated Chaitanya for the success at Annapoorna Studios and then the party shifted to producer Radha Krishna’s Haarika and Hassine Creations office.Producers, Director Chandoo Mondeti and Chaitanya participated in this celebration and cut a red velvet cake as a tribute to the original. Apparently the team is happy with the public response for the film and the collections of Premam have been strongest among the Dussehra releases.
